Compared to the TC1000, for another $400, you get a slight increase in max speed, water and magazine holders, and a better warranty.

Cons
Taller people (anyone over 5’10”) or those with longer legs cannot use this model as they will not be able to take long enough strides on the treadles. Resistance levels cannot be changed without interrupting your workout.
